WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
WHAT'S YOUR NATIONALITY?

Hi. How are you?. I'm fine. Today we practice WHERE ARE YOU FROM? and the answer I'M FROM SPAIN. We also practice the question WHAT'S YOUR NATIONALITY? and the answer I'M SPANISH.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I'M FROM THE UK
WHERE'S SHE FROM?
SHE'S FROM THE USA
WHERE'S HE FROM?
HE'S FROM MEXICO
WHERE ARE WE FROM?
WE ARE FROM SPAIN
WHERE ARE THEY FROM?
THEY'RE FROM ITALY.
Fíjate que cuando hacemos preguntas en inglés con el verbo TO BE debemos responder también con el verbo TO BE y debemos usar los mismos pronombre personales. Por ejemplo:
WHERE'S SHE FROM?
SHE'S FROM RUSSIA
WHERE ARE THEY FROM?
THEY'RE FROM FRANCE
Another question we studied today was WHAT'S YOUR NATIONALITY? and the answer I'M SPANISH.
Si queremos preguntar por la nacionalidad de una tercera persona debemos cambiar el pronombre YOUR. Por ejemplo:
WHAT'S HER NATIONALITY?
SHE'S BRITISH
WHAT'S HIS NATIONALITY?
HE'S GERMAN
YOUR NATIONALITY - tu nacionalidad
HER NATIONALITY - su nacionalidad (si hacemos referencia a una chica)
HIS NATIONALITY - su nacionalidad (si hacemos referencia a un chico)
The same happens with:
WHAT'S YOUR NAME?
MY NAME'S CAROLINA
WHAT'S HER NAME?
HER NAME'S CARMEN
WHAT'S HIS NAME?
HIS NAME'S PEDRO
Click on the link HIS/HER and practice (REMEMBER HIS-MASCULINE AND HER-FEMININE)
